The children spent the week working on brilliant designs in preparation for our dinosaur junk modelling day, which was a roaring success! The models look amazing and I was really impressed with the manner in which the children dealt with such a momentous task. The children did a wonderful job in selecting the perfect 3D shape for each part of their dinosaurs. Well done Reception J!

ROAR! We’re having great fun this term as its the Dinosaur topic! This week we learned lots of amazing facts about the Diplodocus and in Maths, we marked out the size of its footprint and were amazed to discover that all 17 reception children could stand inside its area! We then got to grips with its length end-to-end and plotted this using metres and chalk from one corner of the playground to the other! We counted out 27 metres! Wow! 
Reception J worked really hard this morning on ordering, adding, counting and writing their numbers 1-30. A special well done to Tilly who went on to write out her numbers up to 44, before running out of time! Wow!
As part of our Maths topic this week, Reception J had a fab time blowing ping pong balls across a makeshift race track to practise our use of ordinal numbers. Take a look at our action shots! Who came 1st, 2nd and 3rd?
